Frightened but Fabulous!

I like to think of myself as a confident woman, and as I get older, fewer things cause me disquiet.  But every now and then something or someone crops up and it throws me into a state of confidence-deficient weakness!  It is so frustrating!

So what has prompted this self-conscious post you may well ask?

Well, between you and I, I have spent the whole weekend worrying about meeting someone today based on their reputation and nothing more. 

Long story short etc....I did it.  I faced the fearsome woman whose reputation preceded her with such force that  the prospect of the meeting had me quite literally quivering beforehand.....only to find that she was perfectly lovely.  Polite, interested and most importantly, really good at what she does.

So now, my fear has melted into a kind of professional admiration/jealously!  Haha!  Never saw that coming!

At the age of 35, I would really love to think that I was strong and confident and untouchable.  Not to mention professional, knowledgeable and just a tiny bit fabulous........but it looks like I still have a bit of journey left to travel for most of those.

Might hold on to "fabulous" though!  I don't think there is a woman alive who isn't just a weeny bit fabulous! 

Darn it girls!  - we rock!
